United States Capitol

The Capitol is located on top of a hill (known as the Capitol Hill) on the east side of the National Mall. The US Capitol houses the legislative body of the American government.
Every day there is a guided tour. You can check the time on the small info board in front of the Capitol. As far as I remember you should be there at around 8 a.m. to get inside.

Capitol is one of the best recognized buildings of Washington and it is really impressive. In front of it there is the Reflecting Pool.

This photo was shot at almost midnight. It is quite empty then with only accasional photographers willing to take a photo like this one ;-)
